The Sea Kings at 'Summer Nights 2012'
This July Glasgow's King Tuts Wah Wah Hut will be playin.g host to 'Summer Nights 2012', a showcase of some of Scotland's best up and coming bands. The Sea Kings will be taking to the stage on Wednesday July 18th for the band's first gig of 2012. Tickets will be available soon; in the meantime you can check out the King Tuts Facebook event (below).
Big noises in small rooms
Danger, men at work... the band have been recording a bit more at Chem19 with producer Jamie Savage to work on their debut album. Pianos, shouting, synths, clunks, feedback - all essential overdubs.

'Some Dark Matters' EP - OUT NOW!!!
As the band's debut EP slowly makes its way round the desks of the nation's music writers and bloggers we thought we'd take a moment to let you know what messrs Rave Child, Kowalskiy and Eartwister are saying about us.
'The Nitrate In My Blood' - free download from Kowalskiy
Scottish music blogger Kowalskiy ran a cracking review of the 'Some Dark Matters' EP in February, and had a wee chat with the band (click HERE). Now there's a March follow-up as The Sea Kings are featured on Kowalskiy's free monthly Scottish EP! Click HERE to be taken to Kowalskiy's page where you can download the Sea Kings contribution, and four other tracks by some other great Scottish bands. The band contributed an acoustic, rockabilly/country version of 'The Nitrate In My Blood' to the EP... as described by Brian Canning... "I think each of us at one time or another were in some kind of alt-country band so it was always in our nature to revert back to something a bit more folky. The songs are all written on acoustic guitar and so tend to hark from that world to begin with anyway. We're always keen to figure out as many versions of the songs as possible and love playing acoustic gigs. For some reason they're less pressure. So here's an alternate version of The Nitrate In My Blood from our debut EP Some Dark Matters."
